5 useful habits for anxious people

Anxiety can be situational – when it is a response to some specific circumstances, or personal – when it accompanies a person constantly, without holidays and weekends. Anxious people, of course, get used to this trait, but the quality of their lives still suffers.

If you always worry about something, here are the five useful habits that can help you cope.

1. Pay attention to your body muscles.

Mental tension is ALWAYS reflected in the body. If you pay attention to it, you will understand that the muscles of your shoulders, neck, back, and abdomen are tight. As soon as you relax the muscles, the brain will receive a signal that everything is fine, the signal “Danger!” can be canceled, and the anxiety will be reduced. If you can’t relax some muscle, try to strain it as much as possible first – and then you will be able to relax it.

2. Pay attention to your face.

The principle is the same. When a person is under stress, their jaw tightens, and a mask of anxiety freezes on their face. From time to time check how things are with the muscles of the face and relax them. Try to smile or at least switch to a good-natured expression.

3. Watch your water consumption.

For the body to function properly, it needs enough water. Keep a small bottle of water near you and fill it up during the day. You can install an application on your phone that reminds you to drink water.

4. Turn off notifications on your phone from news programs and applications.

“Worriers” are always on high alert – how can you relax when notifications from the mail, news, Telegram, and other applications constantly pop up? This is a direct path to neurosis. Keep only what you really need.

5. Do breathing exercises.

They should become your ritual, routine, like brushing your teeth or taking a shower. It’s best not to wait until anxiety overtakes you like a wave, but to learn how to breathe properly before that moment arrives. It’s important to find the right breathing technique that works best for you.

And, as a bonus…

Sustained reduction of anxiety levels can only be achieved by taking responsibility and incorporating a comprehensive routine. The best way is to work with this in therapy, where a person can gradually learn to manage anxiety.

However, at Mindspa we fully understand that therapy can also become very expensive. That’s why we’ve asked our therapists to create an online therapeutic program that is both affordable and effective.

The outcome of this effort is the course “Anxiety Management” below.

But here’s the best part: if you want to reduce your anxiety with a methodic approach which combines therapeutic techniques and guided meditations, you can try the course for 3 days with no obligation. And if you enter the code ‘DISCOUNT50‘ at checkout, you’ll even get 50% off on the already discounted price!
