What to do if you don’t have any power and strength?

The “I have no power” state is an important signal. Don’t try to ignore it or pretend that nothing happens. It is time to pay attention to what is happening in your life. 

Here are five simple and independent steps, which will definitely help you. 

1. Close the tap

If you don’t have enough power, it means that there are leaks in your system. In the majority of cases, we are talking about unfinished business and tasks which are hanging like a dead weight. 

Write a list of all the things that are incomplete status: from the most difficult things (you have to talk to your boss about your salary, pass the annual report, break the relationship, tell the bad news to your mother, and so on) to the smallest and tiniest of them (send postcards, take jeans to be altered, finish reading a book, and complete an exercise from the course). 

If you know that something can be done now, do it or define specific deadlines. 

If you are not able to do some things yet, just remove them from the list and stop killing yourself because of it. 

2. Check all the items and things.

Now let’s figure out what exactly is missing and what it is needed to change your life. 

Answer the following three questions: 

  • What are the main benefits of having power and strength? 
  • Why do you need them (power and strength)? 
  • What can be done to implement and gain them? 

3. Useful activities. 

Simply put, these are things that you love to do. These are the most inspiring and pleasant things and activities (or at least they were before the current period). 

Make a list of 25 activities and things to do. 

Determine what can be done:

  • right now; 
  • tomorrow;
  • day after tomorrow; 

Do one of the things on the list every day. 

4. Send an SOS signal.

Let your loved ones know that you need help and support. 

Ask them directly to help and support you. Do you need time to sleep? You should talk to your mother or husband and ask them to spend 3-4 hours with the child, while you snuggle up in a blanket. 

It turns out that you don’t have enough warm communication? Call a friend or invite them to visit your home.

Don’t be shy and ask for help. This is more than OKAY. 

5. Set the power saving mode.

Listen to yourself: Do you have an abundance of something? (activities, interactions, lack of productivity and boredom). Do you feel the lack of something? (communication, care, love and rest). 

Activate your stress protection system by using this simple formula: get rid of excessive things, and find something that is still missing in your life.
