Free psychological support during the pandemic

While most of the Northern hemisphere is facing a surge in Covid cases, Mindspa decides to offer free psychological support to help people cope with their feelings during this difficult period.

In addition to its staggering impact on the physical wellbeing of those contracting the disease, COVID-19 is also taking an unprecedented toll on everyone’s mental health.

Numerous recent studies have shown global increases in the prevalence and severity of depression and anxiety as well as increases in post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse. Aside from the impact of the pandemic on the health system and on the economy, these increases stem also from changes to daily life we have all been asked to make in attempts to mitigate viral spread, such as social distancing, curfew hours and lockdowns.

What is Mindspa?

Mindspa is a new mental health app offering psychological support to the most vulnerable. The application is filled with useful resources and tools to help you deal with your emotions, to enable you to better understand your needs and to improve your focus towards achieving your best potential. It provides practical advices and accessible tools to support your mental wellbeing every day. Released in the stores last February, it reached over 150,000 users in just a few months, with over 1,500 positive reviews in the stores.

Its main features include: free daily articles and useful tips, a self-care diary, the “Psychosutra” (a collection of the best coping-skills techniques, divided by feelings), self diagnostic tests, and emergency chatbot, and psycho-educational courses – online programs with psychotherapeutic lessons and tasks on dedicated topics.

Support program during the pandemic

Given the emergency situation, our team of 10+ psychologists has designed a program called ‘Plaid’, free of charge to whoever needs help to manage their fears, anxiety, stress and other negative emotions. The program has a duration of 7 days and is accessible from the mobile app, available both on Google Play and App Store.
